I entered this challenge because the theme is Sympathy and Caring and I have been meaning to make a card for my Grandmother because last week my Grandpa passed away. He had been sick and it was expected but it still leaves a hole in us, doesn’t it?
My Grandmother is not big on attention or sympathy for herself so my card is more just a, I love you and I’m here for you all the time type card. I love her so much and I really miss my Grandpa already. I don’t share a lot of personal stuff so excuse me this time around.
I hope you get inspiration from my card. It’s using one of my favorite colors that is retiring this year and I’m kinda sad about it, Mint Macaron.
Here is a link to the retiring list. It is *While Supplies Last* so don’t wait too long! The new Catalog comes out on June 1st.
I’m excited that it’s time once again for the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! It runs the first Friday of the month and the projects that you see are from Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from all around the globe using a common theme.
This month our theme is: OUR FAVORITE BUNDLE!
I had such a hard time choosing this time around because I have a few favorites right now. But the one that is most fun to use currently is the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle. This dragonfly set makes the most beautiful cards and there are so many different ways you can stamp the dragonfly or cut the dies. Here are a few examples of cards I’ve made using this set:
Tomorrow I am attending OnStage Local here in San Diego and demonstrators from all over are getting sneak peeks of the new Annual Catalog that comes out in June. I’m so excited to see the new bundles that will be available. They’ve already given us some peeks at new In-Colors 2017-2019. Hint: They are in the OnStage letters! SShhhh…
So pretty! And one suite called Eastern Palace. Amazing things done with that bundle already!
Don’t forget to sign up for Paper Pumpkin before April 10th to receive the FREE gift Sara has included in this anniversary box! Sara designed it herself and you won’t want to miss out on all the goodness. Click on the photo below to sign up! “Bold, vibrant, and artistic—with a little bit of sass,” is how Stampin’ Up! CEO Sara Douglass described the kit she designed for the April Paper Pumpkin.
I hope you get some inspiration from these dragonflies. Up next is the amazing Marieke Bart with her favorite bundle. If you need to go back, click previous to seeAngélique Stempelkeuken. Thanks for hopping with us!
Welcome to another month of the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! This month we’ve got a sketch challenge! Here’s the sketch:
Here’s what I made:
It’s my dad’s birthday today, so I had made this card for him using the sketch. I really like the stamp set, Guy Greetings because it sums up my dad perfectly. He was always working on a car or fixing things around the house. Yes, he really did teach me, righty-tighty, lefty-loosey! And I’ve since taught my kids! The argyle print in the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack is the perfect addition to a masculine card, in my opinion. Love you DAD!
What can you create using this sketch? Leave a comment, along with a link to your blog and I’ll come check it out!
Tomorrow is my monthly Stamp Camp. RSVP on the Event page over on the BFF Stampers facebook page if you’d like to join us. This is the last month to enter to win the April Stamp Camp for FREE! Just bring a new friend and you and your friend will get an entry into the raffle!

Hi BFF’s!!! I’m so happy to get back into a schedule after all the hustle and bustle of Christmas and New Year’s. I pray that all of you and your families had a safe and happy New Year and that you all got the love you wanted for Christmas 🙂
So Phew! We’re back and do we have some exciting news for you! Stampin’ Up! 2017 Occasions Catalog and Sale-A-Bration is available to look at and buy from! Squeal! And we hope you will love it as much as we do. There’s beautiful Valentine’s Day stuff and surly Manly stuff. Dragonflies, Hot Air Balloons and Succulents! Ice cream, Circus and Heros! Such a variety! The blog hop today is showcasing some of the items from the new catalog, so here goes!
My absolute favorite is the balloon pop up dies. I just used them to make invitations for a birthday party! They were so fun and and easy way to add something spectacular.
Here is the video straight from Stampin’ Up! showing you exactly how to use the dies.
There are so many fabulous stamps, designer series paper and adorable little embellishments, that you will not have a problem finding $50 worth of stuff to buy. And for every $50 you spend in product, you receive something free from the Sale-A-Bration brochure! You can not buy the product from the SAB, you’ve got to earn it! So come check out the catalog and let me know what’s on your wish list! If you do not have a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, then I’d love to send you a catalog. Just contact me and let me know!
And this card is made from a stamp set called Window Shopping, but the stamp set is not the best part! The best part is the Window Box Thinlet Die that you can buy to go with it! I’ll add the video below.
We went to a meeting with our team and got some adorable cards using their pre-orders also.
How to earn free stamps:
Shop!!! Buy online or buy in person: For every $50 you spend on product out of ANY catalog or online in the clearance, you will receive a FREE Sale-A-Bration item of your choice from the brochure.
Join Stampin’ Up!! : Become a Happy Shopper! It’s the best time of year to join Stampin’ Up! During Sale-A-Bration, you can become a demonstrator for just $99 USD and choose TWO additional stamp sets for your Starter Kit—any stamp set, any price! (Excludes Sale-A-Bration sets and bundles.) Glad you could join us for the 4th Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! This month our theme is “All Wrapped Up!”
It was so fun coming up with different ways to wrap various gifts for Christmas!
The first thing I made was a peek-a-boo box using Stampin’ Up’s! White Gift Boxes. Stampin’ Up! provides easy to alter gift packaging. The boxes are 3″ x 3″, so a pretty good size. I made a couple things with the boxes and also used the Petite Cafe Gift Bags for the cute paper bag. Fun fact: the Petite Cafe gift bags are poly-lined, which means you can put food inside and nothing will show on the outside of your bag. They are great for those cookie or fudge gifts!
On this white gift box, I made a bow using the patterned paper. I absolutely love these little mugs using the envelope punch board. Such a unique way to wrap up candy or give a gift card.
And speaking of gift cards, no Christmas would be complete without a Santa gift card holder.
Last but not least, I made a cute sour cream container using the Petals & Paisleys specialty designer series paper. This Star of Light stamp set and thinlets are definitely my favorite item of the season.
I hope you enjoyed our projects and hopefully found some ideas to spruce up your gift wrapping this year.
Take a look at what our Global Friends have created!

In July I joined a card swap with one of our Stampin’ Up! consultants Jill Olsen. It was a big swap – 35 cards! We had to use a stamp set that was from the new Annual Catalog but not part of the pre sale. I chose the Foxy Friends Stamp set. Below is the card we made. Because we needed so much patterned paper we ended up making our own using the mushrooms out of the Foxy Friends stamp set. It worked out really well! I think on later date we should do a blog post dedicated to making pattern paper with stamp sets!
My Little Foxy Card Swap
when we stamped the fox we punched a 2nd head using the punch and popped it up to give the card some dimension!
We needed a lot of patterned paper for this card so we made our own. Stamping the mushrooms in Smoky Slate, Soft Sky and Calypso Coral.
This is a really super cute stamp set. You can make so many different animals: fox, squirrel, raccoon, skunk, and even a deer! Pinterest is a great place to get ideas on other animal creations.
In July we had our first themed Stamp Camp – Red, White & Blue. All of our cards were done in red, white, and blue. Plus our attendees received extra entries into our drawing for prizes if they wore red, white, and blue. It was a lot of fun and I think it helped us to focus in on card designs.
We always try to teach a new technique at our Stamp Camps. At this stamp camp we showed them how to do a shaker card and make a 3D paper frame. Our BFFs really loved the shaker card! The paper frame offered some challenges, but we were able to create some beautiful home decor pieces for the 4th of July!
Below are our 3 cards! I just loved doing this theme! It’s awesome that Red, White & Blue can be so versatile and fun.

The tutorial for the shadowbox is here. Thank you to Jan Brown out of the UK for the great tutorial!
Below are the supplies we used to make these 3 great projects! You too can make some awesome Red, White & Blue projects. If you do post pictures in the comments!
